WHAT TO EXPECT AT RKT

Rock Kennel Training is located on a peaceful 5 acres of scenic country landscape perfect for conditioning dogs to obey even among the smells of wildlife and fresh air. RKT dogs also love having the freedom to run in wide open spaces with no worry of traffic or unexpected off leash dogs. We are conveniently located 14 miles south of Northern Illinois University’s campus which benefits dogs who need to learn self control or confidence when surrounded by walkers, bikes, joggers and busy traffic. Only 4 miles west of the RTK, sits Shabbona State Park, a local tourist attraction. This park offers wonderful training stimulus when walking through the 150 campsites filled with running children, barking dogs, crackling fire pits, and music. The park also offers wide open picnic areas for training amidst the natural wildlife surrounding the 318 acre lake.
